DIY Projects

The whole townhouse has been one giant DIY project.  For every before & after (see the Townhouse Tour), our blood, sweat and tears are responsible.  The only thing we didn't do was remove the old bathtub and install the new tub & surround.  But we have:
  • Removed carpet & replaced with maple hardwood floors
  • Painted, cut & installed baseboards and quarter round
  • Removed three sets of ratty closet fitting
  • Installed two new sets of closet fittings
  • Removed 2 toilets, two vanities, and oodles of bad 80s linoleum
  • Installed 2 toilets, two vanities, and oodles of nice new linoleum
  • Removed bad kitchen tiling & installed new kitchen tiling (herringbone, woot woot)
  • Replaced kitchen countertops + installed new sink and old faucet
  • Stripped and re-varnished kitchen cabinets
  • Fixed gapping problems inside kitchen cupboards & painted insides
  • Painted a ratty microwave
  • Stripped wallpaper
  • Painted bathroom vanity
  • Replaced bathroom counter + installed vessel sink & faucet
  • Painted every wall, all ceilings, trim & doors
  • Replaced most light fixtures
  • DIY'd paintings & decorative items
  • Built and refurbished furniture
And the list goes on . . .
